Akshayakalpa Organic Karnataka State Open Championship 2023 returns with a 10 Lacs prize fund

Akshayakalpa Organic once again presents the Karnataka State Open Chess Championship 2023 in a grand manner. India’s first certified organic dairy enterprise has sponsored many editions of Karnataka State Open championship and other state-level events. This is the second time since 2018, they are offering a first prize of ₹100000 + trophy and a total prize fund of ₹1000000. Total 152 prizes are up for grabs. A grandeur event undoubtedly attracts strong players. Karnataka's first and India's 50th GM Thej Kumar, GM-norm holder IM Viani Antonio Dcunha, Karnataka's first and only WIM Isha Sharma are the top titled players taking part. Round 1 starts tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. IST. All tournament info photos are from tournament circular.

The brand Akshayakalpa Organic is synonymous with GM Nihal Sarin in the chess universe. Wherever, Nihal plays, he is seen donning Akshayakalpa Organic logo on his suit, shirt, carrying various merchandise like water bottle which has the logo and so on. One of the big reasons for Akshayakalpa Organic supporting chess in a big way is the Co-founder and CEO of Akshayakalpa, Shashi Kumar, himself is a chess lover. Schedule and Entry fee

The tournament will take place from 26th to 30th May 2023. There are double rounds every day except on the last day, Tuesday 30th May 2023. Entry is free for GMs, IMs, WGMs, WIMs, Veterans (Above 60 years), Visually impaired and Specially abled players.

Prizes

The total cash prize fund is ₹1000000. The top three prizes are ₹100000, ₹70000 and ₹55000 along with a trophy each. There are 60 main prizes, 30 rating category prizes including unrated, 50 age group prizes which includes cash and trophy in five different age categories. Apart from these, there are Special Prizes in Best Veteran, Best Women and Best player of Bengaluru Urban categories.

Akshayakalpa Organic State Open Championship 2023 was launched Tuesday 23rd May in presence of Sowmya M U, President, Bengaluru Urban District Chess Association, T N Madhukar, Vice President Karnataka State Chess Association, FM Aravind Shastry, Secretary Karnataka State Chess Association, GM Pranav Anand, Karnataka's latest and youngest GM and World Under-16 Open 2022 champion and CEO and Co-founder of Akshayakalpa Organic, Shashi Kumar.

Hero products apart from milk – Yoghurt , buttermilk, cheese, bread – these will be served at the venue ; other products include ghee, virgin coconut oil, honey etc

Sharing some unique aspects about each of these –

• All made from organic milk – have zero preservatives.

• Buttermilk so fresh – made with ingredients harvested at our farms – chilli, coriander and ginger, with a dash of Himalayan pink salt – appetising and hydrating.

• Yoghurt with a tinge of honey, and no sugar, a favourite among kids.

• Proteins are the building blocks of life – Akshayakalpa products made with organic milk, are a rich source of protein that is free from all nasties.

• Ak bread is made with whole wheat, with no man-made bad in it like emulsifiers/ preservatives/ maida.

• We send tender coconuts intact with their crown, to preserve its natural state without spraying any chemical over it’s cut crown, this is normally done to prevent browning by others.

These TCs are fresh from our farms located in Tiptur, sweet coconut belt of India.

• Ghee so pure that’s been tested for 286 odd parameters – and tastes like nostalgia. Bananas are wrapped in leaves and coir – two-pronged benefit – it is sustainable, and it acts as natural ripening chamber.

We also, have our recycling initiative “ Let’s give back the milk pack” – together with over 10k consumers actively, rinsing, drying, and returning their used packs in their delivery bag we recycled 10,000 Kg plus used plastic since a year of it’s launch.
