Sammed's first triumph in over two years

IM Sammed Jaykumar Shete played brilliantly by winning eight consecutive games. He had a half point lead heading into the final round against GM Stany G A. A draw against him was enough for him to clinch the championship since Stany was the only person who could surpass him. That is exactly what Sammed did to win the tournament. This is also Sammed's first All India Open Rating triumph since February 2020 when he won SSVP's 2nd All India Rating Open at Deopur, Dhule, Maharashtra.
