Castle Red and Nanban Foundation presents 2nd Nanban CEG Rapid Rating Open 2023. The second edition of CEG Trophy is offering a first prize of ₹50000 and a total prize fund of ₹300000. More than 104 prizes are up for grabs. A big event undoubtedly attracts strong players. GM Srinath Narayanan, GM Vishnu Prasanna, GM Akash G, GM Deepan Chakkravarthy, IM Harshavardhan G B, IM Harikrishnan A Ra, IM Ajay Karthikeyan, IM Ratnakaran K and IM R Balasubramaniam are the confirmed titled players so far. Entry is FREE for GM, IM, WGM and WIMs. For everyone else, it is ₹1500. So, hurry up and register yourself if you haven't yet. All tournament info photos are from tournament circular.

The tournament will take place on Sunday15th October 2023. All nine rounds will take place on the same day.

Prizes

The total prize fund is ₹300000. The top three prizes are ₹50000, ₹30000 and ₹20000 along with a trophy each. There are 20 main prizes, 30 rating category prizes; Top 3 in Best Women (Above 18 years), Best Veteran (Above 55 years), Best Unrated, Best Differently Abled, Best CEG Player categories. Four age group - Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Under-18 has five trophies each for Boys and Girls. There is a trophy for Best College/School/Academy. All Under-8 players will be awarded a prize.
