Vladyslav Larkin victorious at 8th RGCC Open 2024, Sanket Chakravarty second

IM Vladyslav Larkin (UKR) scored an unbeaten 7.5/9 to win 8th RGCC International Open 2024. IM Sanket Chakravarty and FM Daniel Centron Antuna (ESP) scored 7/9 each. Sanket secured second place on tie-breaks, Daniel third. The top two finishers remained undefeated. Sanket drew with both Larkin and Daniel. The top three prizes were €1000 + trophy, €700 and €500 each respectively. The seven-day nine-round rating tournament was organized by Real Groupo de Cultura Covadonga at Real Grupo de Cultura Covadonga, Avenida Jesús in Gijón, Asturias in Spain from 29th July to 4th August 2024.

A total of 103 players including 7 IMs took part from ten countries across the world. The seven-day nine-round Swiss league Rating tournament took place from 29th July to 4th August 2024 at Real Grupo de Cultura Covadonga, Avenida Jesús in Gijón, Asturias in Spain. It was organized by Real Grupo de Cultura Covadonga. The time control was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
