Four players - IM Loic Travadon (FRA), GM Dan Zoler (ISR), GM Pranav Anand and GM Pierre Laurent-Paoli (FRA) scored 8.5/10 each at 44th Villa de Benasque Open 2025. Loic remained undefeated and won the tournament due to better tie-breaks. The remaining three were placed second to fourth respectively. GM Aditya S Samant and GM Karthik Venkataraman scored 8/10 each. They were placed fifth and sixth according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund was €51000. A total of 495 players including 24 GMs, 21 IMs, 2 WGMs and 4 WIMs took part from 31 countries across the world in this ten-day ten rounds Swiss League rating tournament. The tournament was organized by IO Mairelys Delgado, Asunción Gracia Lagüens and Ayto. de Benasque at Sports Hall of Benasque, Huesca in Spain from 4th to 13th July 2025. The time control of the tournament was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
