European Club Cup 2022 R4: Vishy Anand saves the day for CSU ASE Superbet
Vishy Anand scored an important win for his team CSU ASE Superbet in the fourth round of European Chess Club Cup 2022. The maestro scored a fantastic victory over Shakhriyar Mamedyarov to ensure his team draws with Schachclub Viernheim 1934 e.V. Magnus Carlsen defeated Pentala Harikrishna, still his team Offerspill Chess Club lost to Novy Bor Chess Club 2.5-3.5. Vidit Gujrathi registered his fourth consecutive victory to become India no.4 in the live ratings. Novy Bor will face Superbet in the fifth round which means it will be Harikrishna vs Anand. Carlsen wins, still Offerspill loses to Novy Bor Chess Club
In the Open section, Novy Bor Chess Club has taken sole lead 8/8 by defeating Offerspill Chess Club in the fourth round. Six teams are at 7/8 including CSU ASE Superbet and TAJFUN - SK Ljubljana.

Vishy Anand (2756) scored the most important win over Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (2747) for CSU ASE Superbet in the fourth round. Gukesh lost his game and the remaining four games ended in draws.
