ChessBase 16 is already in the starting blocks and it is available now. Now everyone wants to know: what are the new features in this version? What innovations are on the horizon? And what is the "key to new ideas"? Jeroen Van Den Belt, who has been active for ChessBase since Fritz 7, presents interesting innovations in the video. The new chat

Jeroen Van Den Belt shows us the new chat design, the options you can adjust, and very interestingly, the feature to post chess positions for others to look at, and even replay variations.

Server messages are center aligned, received messages left and sent messages are right aligned

Chat background color can be changed

You can share a position in the chat

You can also share a variation in the chat

The variation in the chat will visible by a few moves

If you are wondering what is the practical use of this feature? Well then you should know that using this while teaching students will definitely help you a lot instead of typing out positions, variations in a chat in any video-call medium like Zoom or Meet etc.
