ChessBase India Training Academy invites all chess players around the world in the inaugural edition of Khelo Chesss Rating Open 2024. It is scheduled to take place from 4th to 9th June 2024. This tournament has a very low entry fee of ₹600. The idea is to encourage players to take part in a Classical rating tournament and gain an Elo rating. The total prize fund is ₹64000. The first prize is ₹10000 + trophy each. Special ChessBase India prizes will be announced before the start of the tournament. Total ₹64000 prize fund with only ₹600 as entry fee

This June play a Classical rating tournament which has only ₹600 as entry fee. Unbelievable? No, it is true. We are not kidding. The objective is to create opportunity for players to get and increase Classical FIDE rating.

The inaugural edition of Khelo Chess India Rating Open will take place from 4th to 9th June 2024 at SAGE International School in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Schedule

There will be a total of nine rounds. The double and single rounds are on alternate days. First day on Tuesday 4th June there are double rounds, then on Wednesday 5th June there is only one round and so on.

Prizes

The total prize fund of the tournament is ₹64000. First prize is ₹10000 + trophy. There are 30 main prizes. Top three prizes in each of the following category - Unrated, Women and Veteran (Above 60 years). The top three players in Under-7, 9, 12 and 15 will medals in Boys and Girls group. There are also five prizes for best players from Bhopal. The total number of prizes are - 68. Special ChessBase India prizes will be announced before the start of the tournament.

Entry fees

Entry is free for GMs, IMs, WGMs and WIMs. For all other players, the entry fee is ₹600. For Indian soldiers and their children, entry fee will be ₹500. Check the image below to find out the details. Last date for submission of entry is 3rd June 2024.
