One of the forms in which we have been able to help is through the scholarships, aimed at talents that need the monetary boost to reach soaring heights. Tender Theraphy founder Rekha Nahar, a global play-therapist and qualified counselor, contributed a sum of Rs.1,08,000. The scholarship is eligible for all chess players out there with the determination to improve and love for the game. The Tender Tale of Tender Therapy:

Mrs. Rekha Nahar - Founder of Tender Therapy - and the donor of the Rs.1,08,000 had a clear aim for the Tender Therapy Scholarship. "In my journey of being a chess parent myself, I have traveled globally for chess tournaments with my two kids Rajveer and Anaishaa. I engage myself actively with the chess fraternity in an opportunity to understand and observe the unspoken needs and unplanned aspirations for a parent's child, as it depends majorly on the big ‘M-Power’ that is money. So with my husband Pinkesh's support, we decided to formulate and announce ‘The Tender Therapy Scholarship’. I feel that those who can benefit from this scholarship are chess players or parents of the young chess players who are really talented, but have to hold on to their dream of becoming a great chess player or stop dreaming completely about chess. Players who have to face lot of hardship and compromise on their progress in chess at some point of time due to lack of financial sufficiency is whom the Scholarship intends to help out."

Above is Rekha Nahar's insightful talk on Parent's psychology at the World Youth Chess Championships 2019

"Personally I am very passionate about connecting to untold stories of people and specialize to work creatively with them to express their feelings and thoughts through creative art and play techniques. My clients can benefit from any kind of child related concerns, relationship apprehensions and seek support to retrace the family dynamics in order to create a harmonious environment and overcome the obstacles in their mental peace. As well-quoted by Albert Einstein 'Play is the highest form of research'."

How did she take on this impressive task of founding The Tender Therapy? Her education, experience and career speaks volumes itself! "I got myself trained in Singapore and France to use this brilliant tool of ‘Play’ in its creative form for my clients to be more expressive at the counselling and therapy sessions at ‘The Tender Therapy’. I became a member of Play Therapy International, UK to continue with my professional practice under its ethical framework. Currently, I am working in the capacity of being a clinical member of Play therapy from Leeds Beckett University, London as well as a qualified counselor, Singapore. Furthermore, to understand the child’s mesosystem which consists of teachers, parents and peers, I went on to study Masters in my early childhood and care education at Monash University, Melbourne. I am dedicating myself to work with Indian young children and families for their social and emotional difficulties coming in the way of their mental well-being. The Tender Therapy is beneficial for Child and Adolescent holistic development, Social Emotional Behavioural development, Anger Management, Depression, Digital Gaming addiction, Parental support, Parent-child relationship, Learning difficulties & disorders, Anxiety-Trauma-Stress management, Sleep disorders and most importantly self-esteem and identity crises."
