Savanth Krishnan dominates 5th Chessmii Rating Open 2025
Savanth Krishnan R scored an unbeaten 8.5/9 to win 5th Chessmii Rating Open 2025. He finished a full point ahead of the rest. Revlin Ram R H and Abhinav M B scored 7.5/9 each. They secured second and third place respectively according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund was ₹550000. The top three prizes were ₹40000, ₹20000 and ₹15000 along with a trophy each. The six-day nine-round Swiss league Rating tournament was organized by Chessmii.com at Sanjos Metropolitan School in Kannur, Kerala from 30th March to 4th April 2025. 13-year-olds claim the podium
Savanth Krishnan R was the sole leader 7.5/8, heading into the last round. Five players - Christy George, Revlin Ram R H, Raveesh Kote, Siva Adithyan S and Abhinav M B were trailing by a full point at 6.5/8 each. Savanth defeated Siva Adithyan to become a clear champion. Revlin and Abhinav scored full points against Christy and Raveesh to finish at second and third place respectively. The top three finishers are all 13-year-old teenagers.






A total of 159 players took part from all over the country in this six-day nine round Rating Open tournament. It was organized by Chessmii.com at Sanjos Metropolitan School in Kannur, Kerala from 30th March to 4th April 2025. The time control of the event was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move.
