Che International Chess Festival 2023: Praggnanandhaa beats Nihal 7.5 - 2.5 in their first-ever Blitz match

GM R Praggnanandhaa won the first-ever Blitz match against GM Nihal Sarin at Che International Chess Festival 2023. The FIDE World Cup 2023 Silver medalist won the match with two games to spare 5.5-2.5. He won the last two games to register a one-sided victory of 7.5-2.5. It was not a rated event, an exhibition match to showcase the talent of both Indian youngsters. Afterwards, they both played a Simul against a combined total of 31 players. 13-year-old Aadinath Harilal of Ernakulam, Kerala became the sole player to draw against Nihal. Day 5: Praggnanandhaa wins the Blitz match against Nihal

GM R Praggnanandhaa and GM Nihal Sarin faced each other in a ten-game Blitz match for the very first time. Praggnanandhaa won the match with two games to spare when the score became 5.5-2.5. However, as agreed earlier, since it was an exhibition match, they played the remaining two games and Praggnanandhaa won the match by 7.5-2.5.
