Sasikiran wins Sparkassen Online Open
The third game in the NC World Masters of the 48th International Dortmund Chess Days was an extremely close game. Kramnik was in a difficult situation in the endgame, but he somehow managed to salvage a draw against Anand.

The third game was an exciting draw. It seemed like Anand was completely winning the endgame.
45...Re4+ allowed the white king to advance forward capture the important d6-pawn. 46.Kd5 Rhxf4 47.Rxf4 Rxf4 48.Rc1 Kg6 49.Kxd6 Rd4+
White can directly play 50.Kc7 or go 50.Ke6 Re4+ 51.Kd7 Rd4+ 52.Kc8 and this one turns out to be decisive for White. The game continued 50...f4 51.c5 f3 and it eventually lead to a draw. Check out the complete analysis by Anand and Kramnik in the video below.
Sasikiran won the No Castling Chess Sparkassen Online Open Finals with an unbeaten 6.0/7. He will be invited to the 49th International Dortmund Chess Days in 2022. A total of ten players from seven nations across the world took part in the finals.
