Pranav Venkatesh Golden at World Youth U16 Olympiad 2022, Bronze for Tanisha Boramanikar
India suffered a 1-3 loss to Turkiye-Red in the final round of FIDE World Youth Under-16 Olympiad 2022. Turkiye-Red had already won Gold after the eighth round. They suffered a total of three individual losses in the entire tournament. One of them was in the last round by FM Eray Kilic against GM Pranav Venkatesh. Pranav scored an impressive 8/9 to win an individual Gold medal. He also won the Magnus Academy Challenge on the previous day.
